Smoking cessation program available to UM-Dearborn faculty and staff
The classes will be offered through the Smoking Cessation Program provided by the Tobacco Consultation Services (TCS) of U-M’s MHealthy Initiative.
The program is a seven-week smoking cessation support group that is led by trained professionals who will provide tips, techniques and coping mechanisms for people who would like to quit smoking. The group will meet weekly for 1.5 hours on the Dearborn campus. After completion of the sessions, a TCS trained professional will provide follow up support through telephone conversations with each participant at one, three, six and 12-month increments.
There is a 15-person minimum to run the group. There is no cost to University students, faculty and staff.
If interested in attending the classes, or for more information, please contact the Office of Human Resources at 593-5190.
